Finance Business Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for an Business Analyst within our Finance Systems Team! This position will be fully in office based at our offices in Cape Town, Kuilsriver and will report directly to the Finance Systems Manager.
By taking on this opportunity, you will play a significant role within the business by acting as the interface between the business, Pepkor IT and other information technology suppliers, the vehicle through which optimal business processes and underlying systems functionality is developed in order to execute business strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
To assess and define change requests received from users in Ackermans in relation to business processes and systems. Provision of solutions and support for the implementation thereof.
Effectively manage change requests from business stakeholders.
Translation of business process and systems requirements into specific projects ensuring solutions are commercially acceptable within the strategic framework.
Provision of effective and timeous support to internal users on processes, systems and technology activities. User ongoing support
Provision of detailed documentation of current information, data and solutions. Business Analysis Documentation.
Supply users with skills & knowledge of process and systems via training sessions and workshops to enhance culture of super users

KNOWLEDGE required:
Waterfall and Agile working methodologies and principles.
Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining systems/services/applications.
Knowledge of PMBOK and BABOK management principles
Ability to compile quantitative and or qualitative information/reporting
Microsoft Suite Advanced user
SAP Finance System integration principles
Knowledge of Personal Data Protection – POPIA
Working knowledge of:
Cloud based (SaaS) software applications that can enable services.
Hardware and Software lifecycle management
SDLC
Change Control governance principles and Defect management.
Fit for purpose system integration in an ERP- and non-ERP environment.
Utilising various modelling techniques

QUALIFICATIONS AND LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
SAP FI/CO Qualification
CA(SA) and or
A relevant Degree and or Higher National Diploma (Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business studies, Information Systems, Business Analyst)
Advantageous:
Business Analyst Qualification
Project Management Diploma/Certificate
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:
Proven experience in a Finance environment
Proven experience in SAP Finance support, SAP PO / SAP Integrator
Proven experience in Financial Systems & processes
Proven experience of business processes flowing into journal entries & finance reporting, incl tax
Proven working experience in a distributed systems landscape
Proven experience in Business Analysis, SAP System analysis, Business process development and improvement, including the facilitation of workshops, stakeholder management
Proven experience in Finance System support: maintaining an incident management process; analysing the nature of incidents; liaising with system developers in order to resolve incidents
Proven experience in quality assurance testing
Advantageous:
Working in a shared services / multi brand environment
An understanding of SAP, in-store & website transactional messaging environment
Finance inventory/ finance treasury/ revenue/ cash reconciliation experience
Thorough grasp of business fundamentals and strategic priorities from a financial perspective
Understanding of writing business requirements, system requirements and functional specifications
Project Management responsibilities
Proven experience to successful technology implementation and process projects (SAP / ERP Greenfield / Brownfield implementation experience)
