Operations Finance Manager
Are you an analytical thinker, commercially minded, and passionate about driving business success through strategy, finance, and operational insight. We’re looking for a strategic and financially astute leader to join our Operations team. In this key leadership role, you will provide critical support to the Chief Executive: Operations, ensuring financial oversight, governance, and insight that drives business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business trends (sales, costs, people, shrinkage, store standards) to guide strategy.
- Lead financial management, budgeting, and accurate reporting for Operations.
- Drive Opex and Capex budget processes, updates, and stakeholder engagement.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports on sales, financials, KPIs, and people metrics.
- Conduct store profitability modelling, identifying growth and optimisation opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports and insights to senior leadership and Operations teams.
- Oversee Operations incentive schemes and property-related decision-making.
- Support training and development of new team members.
- Play an active role in strategic planning, corporate governance, and policy compliance.
- Enhance reporting techniques through collaboration with analytics teams.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years general accounting experience including cost control and managing budgets
- 2 or more years people management experience
- CIMA/ BCOM Accounting (Honours)
- Proven leadership ability with strong self-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and to motivate others
- Advanced presentation skills
- High levels of computer literacy – Advanced Excel

- Retail store operations
- Market trading environment
- Economics relevant to retail
- Retail related KPIs and measurements
- Systems knowledge (Business Intelligence and Financial)
- Retail Incentive schemes
- Capital expenditure governance and reporting
