KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inventory and risk management
- Pack slip and customer parcel tracking and management
- Process management and efficiencies
- Reporting, analysis and visibility
- Business Integration and alignment
- Projects
- Management (including financials, talent, performance, succession planning and employee engagement)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in supply chain management
- Previous experience in order fulfilment and logistics
- Previous change management experience
- Previous experience in online commerce (minimum 2 years)
Preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clothing retail environment
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to engage and interact professionally with internal and external people
- Ability to interpret complex operational environment and implement leading-edge, high-performance management methodologies
- Ability to use data analytics to evaluate problems and make decisions towards a solution
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent influencing, persuading, negotiating
- Excellent numeracy, mathematical calculations and understanding of finance for stock management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good leadership and ability to work cross functionally in a service led environment
- Logistics supply chain design and development expertise/tools and techniques (including IT skills particularly when it comes to information management and system understanding)
- Problem solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential
- Matric with mathematics
- Degree in Logistics / Operations Management / Supply Chain Management / Engineering or Business / Commerce
Preferred
- Tertiary Qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Industrial Engineering
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge Required
- Experience in liaising with stakeholders at a senior level
- Knowledge of relevant consumer protection act principles
- Online commerce pick and pack customer order knowledge
Additional Specific Requirements
- Must be available after hours over a 7-day week
- The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Flexible approach to work as dark store operations can spread over shifts
